Hello Everyone!
Below are pictures of the goods that I have been able to buy for the orphanage from your generous donations. So far I have purchased sneakers and sandals for the boys and the girls, sports balls, stuffed animals, towels, t-shirts, socks, notebooks, pencils, coloured pencils, pens and dresses for the girls.
I was able to buy the items in bulk at a discounted price from Dubai's famous Dragon Mart. It is filled with literally everything and anything one would need and it was really a perfect place for me to buy all of these goods for the children in the orphanage.
A friend came over and saw all of the goods and said "OH MY GOD! It looks like your opening a shop!"
I am surging with emotions of extreme happiness and excitement mixed with a little bit of wariness and anxiety. But seeing all of the goods in my room that will be given to children who truly need these items makes me so overjoyed that I can hardly wait to go to Benin and bring the goods that I was able to buy because of the help of everyone who has kindly donated to help my cause.
A LG laptop was given as a donation and I am so grateful because I will be able to teach the children basic computer skills and leave the laptop in the orphanage so that they can continue using it once I leave Benin.
